My name is Edgar Guerrero, and I'm thrilled to be a part of the UltimateBass community! I live in Yuma, Arizona, where I work as a Lieutenant with the Yuma County Sheriff's Office. When I'm not on duty, you can usually find me along the banks of our local canals and rivers, pursuing my newfound passion for bass fishing.

I'm relatively new to fishing and eager to learn more. Recently, I've been focusing on bank fishing for bass and have had some success using senkos on Texas rigs and crankbaits. I've also started exploring finesse fishing techniques and am currently setting up my gear with a Shimano Vanford F 2500 spinning reel and a medium-light rod.

I joined this forum to connect with experienced anglers, share tips and tricks, and expand my knowledge about bass fishing. Any advice on tackle, techniques, or local fishing spots would be greatly appreciated. I'm particularly interested in recommendations for effective lures and baits that work well in my area.

Looking forward to engaging with all of you and learning from your collective wisdom.

Welcome to the board Edgar!

Head over to Martinez and start fishing the bank around the bar/restaurant at Kathryn's Landing (I think that's the name).  Lots of reeds around, you can run jerkbait, crankbait and jig on the bottom.  All of that will work.  Not sure if you can fish off any of the docks, but a drop shot bumping back also works...
