Conditions:
Water temps: Started at 84 degrees
Water level: High
Water clarity: Very dirty in some areas
Current: OH yes!
Wind: Light
Skies: Partly cloudy
Peacocks boated: 35
Fishing time: 0630-1pm

Today was a scouting trip. Our UB friend Steve and his BIL are coming into town next week, and Steve's BIL wants the full Everglades experience.
Gulp! The pressure is on! The conditions out there are pretty bad. Water is flowing all over the place! Some areas are clean, but many spots are  dirty!
I arrived at the ramp at dawn. Me and another boat were the only ones there. Lol!

I got underway quickly and made a pretty far run. Today's goal was to simulate a guide trip. I went to my first spot, and as I figured. The water was flowing at a good clip.

The Peacocks were active early, but they were challenging to get to. It wasn't going to work with clients. The casting would be too difficult, plus the current was bad.
Caught 3 peacocks and left the area.

Spot #2. Horrible. Picked up and left in 2 min.

Ran for 10 min surveying the area.
Decided to look for calmer water.

 Found it!

Began to formulate a strategy and had blast catching quality peacocks!

I'm looking forward to the guide trip next week!

Thanks for reading!

"Current: OH yes!"  lo
I was studying SFWMD site and the usual suspects are flowing pretty good.
Congrats on finding fishable water.
