I am never going back to the Owner.  I really started paying attention to hooks.  there is a need in my life for EWG styles, so going 100% straight shank hooks with bait keeper tabs isn't possible.

My new hook is a Ryugi LT Offset hook.  it might be my imagination, but I think they run on then small side.  I use a 4/0 on a 5" Senko - tex rigged and it is perfect.

here is what I like.  the bend to hold the worm is exaggerated.  the worm needs to do a u-turn to come off.  and the shank above that u-turn is longer.  this allows me to thread deeper down the worm, to get more material to grab on.  it isn't 100% grippy, but it is way more so.  super sharp.

and they come in 10 packs, or 11 packs for about the same money.  win-win win.  I should have bought more.

How the heck did you find that hook? That looks interesting. Give us a review after using them a while.

Will do.  I went back and bought all the 4/0 from TW.  Hahaha.

I absolutely 100% know and experienced 1st hand what you are talking about.
Hooks really, really, REALLY DO matter.

Gave soft plastic flukes rigged weedless and weightless a try first time ever. Used Zoom Super Flukes and Cabela's Shadee Shads. Used the hook I had on hand a 3/0 EWG worm hook had no previous experience with EWG's just had some on hand. All I had ever used was OS worm hooks. I had difficulty hooking up with EWG's. Then tried standard Offset worm hooks and definately got a higher hookup percentages, then at another great bass fishing forum someone suggested I try both Owner Twistlock Light hooks and Gamakatsu Super Line twist locks AND upsize to a 4/0 stating the twist locks hookup great and allow your flukes to last for more fish. They were correct on both counts, at least in my experiences so far.

Going to Owner and Gamak twist locks AND upsize from 3/0 to 4/0 increased my hookup percentages from
60-65% to 85-90%. I bought a truck load of 4/0 and 5/0 Owner and Gamak twistlock hooks.
