Conditions:

Water Temps: 85-87
Outside Temps: 90's
Wind: NE 5-10
Skies: Clear to partly cloudy
Water clarity: stained
Water levels: Down
Fishing Time: 0615-12pm
Bass Boated: 12
Biggest Bass: 2lbs! :o

I decided to check out the alley today. Boy, that was a mistake! Some ramps are closed, but not all of them. Need to be careful backing down, because unfortunately our alley ramps are in bad shape.  :(

I arrived at the ramp around 6 am. Fortunately, the ramp I launch from was open. Water levels were down. Banks and rocks are really beginning to show. Unfortunately, the bass did not show up today.  :'(

What comes up must come down, I guess. I threw all sorts of techniques at these bass and peas today, and I had very little to show for all my effort. Again, I saw fish. Good ones, too, but again, they were lethargic and not interested.

I was the only boat on this particular stretch of the alley for the entire outing.  :o  Hooked into a decent bass at some point in the morning. Fought it for a few seconds, and it spit out my hook.  :(
Started to catch little bass here and there with the fluke, and managed to land my one and only decent bass of the outing at 11am!

I had, had enough by 12pm and called the trip. Tough outing today. Hopefully these bass will snap out of their funk soon.

Thanks for reading!

Well, what a change a few days can make.  Location is key I guess.  The river would have kept you busy, but not what you were looking for.  Thanks for the report Lou.  Changes will be coming soon.

Does the low water usually provide good fishing?

Yes, but a lot of exotic bites too.  Which become a PITA.

Yes! Higher fish density. The lower water cuts off access to the marsh.
