[No Excuses]

So most of ya'll know I run a weekly fruit jar derby. With the advent of FFS, participation has dwindled. In an effort to level the playing field, and get some of the more traditional guys to come back, we explored several options. But in the end we settled on doing nothing. If you wanna be the man, you gotta beat the man. I don't have FFS, and not because I can't afford it, I don't want it. I enjoy the challenge. Me against you Mr. Micropterus Salmoides. Me and BIL hit our first spot and he boated a 3-7 right off the bat, 2nd cast. The wind was blowing like a haint, and made it tough to worm fish. We hit our 2nd spot and were just about to leave and I caught a 2-12. Nothing on the 3rd spot, but the 4th netted a 4-12. 5th and 6th spots were a dud, but the 7th gave up a 3-6 and a 6-5. That was enough to put us on top with 20.53. 2 of my buddies were right on our heels with 19.47, and they had Big Bass with 7.26. All in all it was a great 2.5 hrs of fishing.
