Conditions:

Water temps: 85-90
Outside temps: 90's
Water clarity: slight stain
Current: very little
Skies: Clear in the a.m. to partly cloudy later in a.m.
Fishing time: 0630-12pm
Bass boated: 40

Had the opportunity to sneak out and do some fishing today. Arrived at the ramp before sunrise and made it to my spot as the sun was rising. I started with top water and, honestly, put it away fairly quickly. Nothing was happening. It was very still.

Made another run, changed to the fluke, and the clicker started moving. Switched back to top water,  nothing!! Went back to the fluke, and action picked up where I left off. Lol! Stayed with the fluke for the rest of the outing.

Managed to catch my PB!! For mudfish, though. Gotcha!  ~roflmao.

The bass were running small. Saw several nice bass, but they weren't having it. Managed to catch several bass in the 2lb range.

I was looking for an excuse to stay, but the bigger bass did not decide to play today.  :'(  I called the trip around noon. It was just too hot, for just catching little bass.  ~sweat  :surrender:

Thanks for reading!
