Conditions:
Winds: East 5-10, then switched from the SSE.
Outside temps: 90's
Skies: partly cloudy
Water level: Dropping!!
Fishing Time: 5pm-730pm
Bass boated: 25
Biggest bass: Two - 3lbrs

Had the pleasure of fishing with Topwaterrob again. He reached out to see if I was interested in another quick evening trip. I happened to be available, so off we went.

Since we knew the trip was going to be a short one, our sole purpose was to target bigger bass. Rob focused on flipping, and I just stayed with just one big top water lure.

Rob's flipping bait was receiving attention, but we both suspected they were junk fish. My lure was receiving attention too, but they were either little bass or gar. Lots and lots of gar.

I stayed the course and was fortunate enough to hook into a decent 3 lb bass. Shortly after that, Rob joined me by throwing the identical top water lure. As soon as he switched over, the clicker came alive.  lo

The bass were all mainly on the smaller side. On one particular cast, Rob's lure barely landed on the water, and he hooked into two bass simultaneously.  lo  lo  Rob, stayed the course, and landed himself a decent 3 lbr as well.

As the sun began to set, we called the trip. All in all, we had a great time. The fish quality could have been better, considering the conditions, but the quantity bite was surely there. We surmised that the quality bite has died down lately due to the abundance of bait. The minnows are out in full force. It's like watching tadpoles in some areas.

Rob, thanks again for the invite. I'm looking forward to fishing with you again.

Thanks for reading.
