Conditions:
Winds: Calm in the early morning, crazy by 930. 15-20 out of the East
Skies: Clears at first, then partly cloudy, and passing showers
Water temps: 76-78
Water clarity: lightly stained
Current: Yes
Bass boated: 36
Fishing time: 7am to 11:45

Today's outing was over at Holiday Park. We had our UB SFL get together.
I arrived around 0615, only to find JHAB already walking to his boat, which was in the water already! Lol!
I quickly launched and greeted everyone as they arrived.
Chris, aka FLStorm, was my partner for the event.
We were underway a little before 0645.
We made a pretty long run to an area I like fishing.
In very short order, we boated 7 bass. Little bass, but fun.

We got to witness a nice pod of tarpon feeding close to us! I've never seen that before.

We continued working the area, catching bass here and there. Chris hooked into a decent bass and had several nice blow ups. Unfortunately, he never got to connect.

The wind started to pick up steam. I had to deploy my drift sock, and even with the sock, boat control was tough.
Despite the conditions, however, we were consistently catching fish.

By 11:45, I called the trip to make our run back to the ramp on time.

All in all, we had a fun trip. @FLStorm, it was a pleasure having you in the boat, bud. I had a great time!

@topwaterrob, it was a pleasure meeting you this morning. Thank you for coming out.

Thanks for reading!

it was nice to put a face to meet some of the guys.  my buddy and I fished down south and we're mostly pitching jigs all morning.  ended up with a few nice fish probably totaled around 35 to 40. I'm not sure how to post photos though.

Great to see you guys today.  Glad you all caught an assortment of fish, and size.  Nice sitting around and chewing the fat for a while.  See you all at the next meeting.

It was a great outing guys! Buddy and I wound up with 57 total, mostly LM with a couple P's. After thought, but we shoulda got a group pic! Reason to have another outing!
Fish safe,

Got to say, it was a blast fishing with Lou!  I'm grateful that he pushed me to get out there with you guys.

Glad to see everyone had a good day on the water. Definitely looking forward to next get together.
