Conditions:
Water temps 76-80
Water Clarity: Stained
Current: Yes
Wind: East 12-15
Skies: Partly cloudy/sunny
Bass boated: 86
Fishing time: 7am-3pm

Today was Day 1 of 2 fishing with repeat clients Andy and Alex. They are from Germany, and fished with me 18 months ago.

Andy and Alex promptly arrived a little before 7am and fishing by 7:15.

Both of these guys are top water anglers, so I had poppers ready to go. In no time, they started catching fish. By 9am, they had boated 20 bass.

The topwater bite was pretty consistent until about 10:30. Alex switched to a jerkbait, and began to catch bass on every cast!! Lol!

We took a break at 11:30, and resumed a little before 12pm.

The topwater bite really slowed down. But Alex was still having great success with the jerkbait.

I introduced Andy to the stickworm, and his first bass was 3lbr!! Lol!!

We wrapped up the trip around 3 pm. These guys were all smiles and amazed that they boated 86 bass!!

I'm very happy the scouting trips paid off!!

Day 2 is a peacock trip. Stay tuned, and thanks for reading!
