Everglades (4/10/24) Scouting trip

Current: Yes
Water clarity: Stained
Water temps: 74-76
Skies: Partly sunny/clouds
Bass boated: 36
Top 5: 15lb 14oz
Fishing time: 7am-230pm

Today's outing was a scouting trip. I have several guide trips coming up over the next 2 weeks, with repeat clients, and I
want to make sure I have the bass dialed in.

I arrived at the ramp before sunrise. Made my run, and noticed a lot of feeding activity when I started to fish.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get them to bite early. The bass were playing really hard to get.

Managed to catch a few little bass down below throughout the morning, but no bass of any substance.

As the wind began to blow, I switched to top water and managed to catch a solid 3 lbr and soon after another healthy bass.



The flurry ended quickly. I switched back to the bottom and picked off some more little ones.

Switched back to top water. Caught another nice bass.



Spent the day switching from fishing the bottom and the top.

The bigger bass were smashing the top water, but the bites were few and far between.

Ended the day boating 36 bass. Biggest went a little over 4lbs.



Fingers crossed for next week. The conditions are in my favor.  Let's see how it goes.
