Walked the banks this afternoon, throwing a stick bait along the deep ledges. The bass haven't been hitting the moving baits much as of late.
So I figured, if they are going bite, a weightless stick bait moved slowly deep along the ledge bottom would catch them.
The game plan worked! Landed 4 out of 7 strikes.

My kind of bank fishing.  Congrats Lou, they have been hanging deep especially at the base of the ledges and in the deep bottom grasses.  There are also rock piles at the foot of these 8 to 12 foot rock ledges.  I'll add a few pics of recent catches. 

All taken on weightless senkos, flukes, and trick worms!  Usually 8 to 10 fish an hour, in the afternoons:
(Fish) - P/B 11.4, Everglades, L67, L28, Little 67, Alligator Alley, Sawgrass, Holey Land, Loxahatchee, Ida, Osbourne, Okeechobee, Weston Lakes. Broward and Dade Canals.

Good catches. When I find a big ledge, like in man made lakes of housing communities, I'll throw a creature bait w/a 1/16oz bullet and slowly bounce it up the ledge. They are either waiting off the ledge for something to "fall off" , or waiting on top for something to crawl out of the deeper water. Majority of my bites are on that slowfall part.

I fish the banks 6 days a week and snag the ruff rock ledge walls if I use that much weight.  The coral rock limestone just eats up my tackle.  Weightless that is never a problem, especially if you give slack when you first feel the bait catch the rock.  I just hate re-rigging 5 or 6 times a trip.

that is GREAT!!  my lakes I shore fish are pressured. I find I need to cast to those ledges from a ways back.  not always practical.  I swear,i think they feel my footsteps.
