Conditions:
Outside Temps: 50's
Water Temps: 66-68
Water clarity: Clear
Water level: Up
Winds: NW 5-10, constant
Skies: Cloudy
Moon phase: Waning Gibbous
Total bass boated: 21
Baits: stick bait, spinner bait, popper, centipede, and trick worm.
Fishing time: 0700-2pm

Decided to fish the Holey lands today. I have been fishing the flats, but with this cold water, it's been a ghost town. Wanted to check out how the deep bite was doing.

Arrived at 0630 and made a long run to the last area I fished when I was out there last.

Water clarity was off the charts. Unfortunately, the bass slept in. ;)

I didn't get my first bite until about 2 hrs into the outing.

Little guy off a stick worm worked slowly. Continued with that pattern and picked off little bass here and there.

Switched to a centipede, and basically more of the same. Little.

Switched to a trick worm. Same, little.

Threw the spinnerbait. Connected with a few bass, but again, little!

Decided to throw the popper and connected with the 2 biggest bass of the outing. But that was it.

By the time 2pm rolled around, I was done.

All in all, considering the conditions, I had fun. The bass made me work and think!

Boated 21 bass. Can't really complain about that! Lol!!

Thanks for reading.

Happy New Year!
