Great start to the New Years weekend. I was bank fishing at the local park, and a dog came up and pee'd all over my tackle bag. Owner just laughed at it, didn't even say sorry.

I came home and had to put everything in a large recycling bin, so I could wash the bag. Yes, those are all Plano & Flambeau 3700 Series boxes, 2 3600's, a Spinnerbait box, a KVD worm bag, BPS worm binder and various loose worm/soft bait bags. Wife says I have WAYY too much tackle.

Still haven't gone fishing this year. It's been crazy around here since the new year. I'm excited about going to Texas for a Berkely Fishing media trip. There's going to be some big name pros there so I should be able to get some good content for upcoming articles.

I'm going to try and break the ice the next couple of days at the pipe on my neighborhood pond. All the rain lately probably has the water running.

Wasn't too bad of a day. Got to a local, trolling motor use only, lake and was on the water by 8am. (Hey, it needed to thaw out some) No wind, water temp was nice, water was clear too. So clear I could see the fish, but they wouldn't really bite. So the dinks were biting about 9am (warmed up) to where I downsized to 6lb test and a ned. Caught about 20 total and biggest was only about 2lbs. (Look at the spots on that dink and that's the grass in the water you see behind him).

) But they're still fun.

Other than this pretty sunrise, and my new TM batteries worked great. The fishing part was horrible.
