Cracked Rod Guide Repair Without Replacing

I was wondering if there was an easy way to fix a cracked rod guide by sanding it with sandpaper or some other thing like that without replacing it

The crack generally goes all the way through so you can't really sand it out. I know some folks will put an extremely small drop of super glue on the crack to prevent it from grating the line.
