Welcome to our SJHT 7th event of the 2023 Season where SJHT anglers traveled down to LUMS SP.

After missing the last month per se of Club events, I was able to make this event.
What a way to return back to New Jersey as the Closed season ends June 15th.  So fresh off a return start...you guessed it, the bite was tough for me but not for others.

Let's get to it.

Today, 9 of SJHT finest came out to battle and catch a decent bag at LUMS SP.  This place seems to always produce but the bite was tough over a month ago.  Today seemed a bit better in terms of limits and overall weights, but still tough for many.

Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to Dennis *Jiggen Den* Tolentino on winning 1st place and Lunker  by weighing in a Bag of 3 Bass going 7.32lbs.  Jiggen Den's Lunker went a Nice 3.42lbs.   2nd Place was won by Carlos *Edged out again* Jimenz at the same body of water the last time out with 3 bass going 6.83lbs.  3rd Place was won by SJHT Veteran Mike *Bass Love Me* Del Monico with 3 Bass going 6.26lbs.  Misc. was won by Jackson *Crappie Need Love to* Fu with a 1.04lber.

Summary: What a way for SJHT to close out the DE and out of state Events with our last visit to LUMS SP.  There were alot of Bass caught today with most being below the Sub 12 Mininum size.  Unlike our previous visit back on April 22nd, Anglers were able to get more limits and catch better quality Bass.  Although we only caught 20 Bass overall, the total weight was higher at 36.59lbs compared to our previous visit.  The  avg. weight was 1.83lbs  compared to 1.53lbs from April 2023.

Overall....  6 Anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit.  8 out of 9 Anglers caught  at least 1 bass.

Congrats to Jiggen Den, Carlos Jimenz, Mike Del Monico, and Jackson Fu on youur performances.

Next up is COOPER RIVER PARK in 2 Weeks.

Tightlines,
