Prefishing for the Reelin For Kids benefit tournament this weekend. Like most of my days lately they start very slow. I blame it on looking for new water LOL But I ended up finding a pretty solid pattern and putting together about a 25 pound 5 fish stringer.... I know don't go catching all your fish before a tournament but each of these big fish were in a separate place duplicating the pattern and there is a bass in this lake with a tag in it worth a fully rigged Phenix Bass Boat, and 99 other bass worth $1k so it's a bad time to shake them off IMO...

Hopefully it holds for the tournament, there will be over 200 boats on the lake so we'll be sharing the fish for sure...

No secrets just yet, but they are bitting, caught a few on a frog  ~shade

Well not unlike many tournaments Disappointment prevailed. We got to my first spot and started pitching 1 ounce weighted plastics into slightly thicker Lilly pads. What made this pattern unique is the pads were just starting and most were way too thin for holding fish so you had to find the thickest sections.

Anyway 20 minutes in I landed a one almost 6.. 5 and three quarters. So my partner is pumped, I'm pumped cause it's going to hold up. In the next thirty minutes I'd guess 50 boats blasted down the boat road we were near and we didn't have another bite....

Not so much as fishing pressure but all over lake pressure shut us down...
