I fish the bank and least 5 days a week.  I have everything in a Fanny pack made for fishing bought at Walmart.  Under $15, it holds plyers, scissors, five bags of plastics, hooks, weights.  It has rings on the sides you attach a scale, or other items.  Both hands always free, and no setting down stuff on the ground.  Everything is right there at belt level.  Perfect for me.
(Fish) - P/B 11.4, Everglades, L67, L28, Little 67, Alligator Alley, Sawgrass, Holey Land, Loxahatchee, Ida, Osbourne, Okeechobee, Weston Lakes. Broward and Dade Canals.

Those are great for bank anglers. I have one but due to my weight I "outgrew" it.

These ones sold at Walmart are made for the bigger size guys are are extra adjustable!  Worth the money.

Thanks George. Might just be the Walmarts in my area don't carry them.

Not much of a fishing selection anymore and most of the stuff they DO carry is junk. They still carry lead weights and jigs even though they were outlawed in 2012 here in MA.

Also we have a predominantly Asian population in my city so not a lot of options for oversized anything around here.

I don't know when, or if I'll ever go back there but if I do I'll look for the bigger sized wading belts.

Something to think about also is getting a fishing vest :-\  I have one I wear when I wade fish.  It has pockets with Velcro and zippers.  I picked it up a Academy.   Walmart, BPS and Cabela's all carry them.

Excellent suggestion, thanks Don!

I have one and it fits. I can't wade anymore but don't know why I never thought of that when I could.

Will still be useful when bank fishing though.

Yesterday I just bought a new Fanny pack for fishing at Walmart.  It was $7.50 and they had a bunch in the fishing department.   I wore out the old one.  The best for hands free bank fishing, and easy access.

I use a Tackle Warehouse sling pack. It holds plenty of gear and has a built in tool holder. I also throw a pair of scissors and a scale and there's plenty of room.  I've been using it for 6 months or so and really like it. Picked it up for around $25 on sale. The Plano sling pack looks good too and has webbing on the outside so you can add additional tools if you want to.
