Chautauqua May 8th & 10th

Well we went south of the border for some catch and release season bass fishing. 4 guys, two  boats and a friendly bet.

Monday stated slow as we searched around. Couldn't find any shallow smallies and only small LM shallow. Later in the afternoon I  got a 4.5lb smallie in 3fow on the big mid lake shoal in the south half, on a small white swimbait. We also found a 3.8LM on a wacky worm in one of the few sandy areas with some weed growth. We won big LM & big SM $

Tuesday we went to Dunkirk smallie hunting.

Then Wednesday was only a half day .  Alex got a 4.5 SM and I got a 3.75 LM to win all the money again. 
We found smallies on beds in 57F water so we went back for a couple more hours after the other two left for home. We caught a couple nice fish off the beds, i broke of a giant at the boat and Alex lost a 5 on the way to the boat, all off beds on neds. Pretty cool
I hope to get back there before our season opens in Ontario on June 17th
