Welcome to our SJHT 4th event of the 2023 Season where SJHT anglers traveled down to LUMS SP located in Delaware.

After a 2 week hiatus and the NJ Closeed Bass season from April 15th- June 15th, our next tournaments will be out of state.

Let's get to it.

Today, 12 of SJHT finest came out to battle and catch the motherload at the always welcoming LUMS SP.  This place typically produces nice size Bass along with the monster Misc. species.  Not sure if the Warm/hot weather the last 10 days played a factor in the smaller than size catch weights or the upcoming storm later that day, but the Bass were tough to come by.

Without further adieu, please give a big congrats to Jackson *Crappie Love Me*  Fu on winning 1st place   by weighing in a Bag of 3 Bass going 5.30lbs.     2nd Place was won by Carlos *Edged out again* Jimenz with 3 bass going 5.26lbs.  3rd Place was won by Rookie Pete *Cute Boots* Ingemi with 3 Bass going 4.89lbs.  Lunker was won by Rookie member Eric *Big Girl* Carocci with a 2.69lber.  Misc. was won by Brian *Crappie are worth it* McCulley going .94lber.

Summary: Most if not all anglers reported the toughness of trying to get bite no less a keeper size bass.  Some Bass were up on the wood but most seemed in the deeper drop offs.  No bass were seen on beds.  Hence this outing felt really weird compared to previous visits.  Place just seemed a bit off.  We had those Helicopter tree debris flying all over the place and cluttering our boats as if it was Fall time.
Places that have produced in the past were hit an miss.  Wish I had more to say. There were only a total of  21 Bass weighed.  They gave way to a total of 32.178lbs overall.  The  avg. weight was 1.53lbs

Overall....  5 Anglers caught there 3 Bass Limit.  10 out of 12 Anglers caught  at least 1 bass.

Congrats to Jackson Fu, Carlos Jimenz, Pete Ingemi, and Eric Carocci, on youur performances.

Next up is NORTH EAST RIVER in 2.5 Weeks.

Tightlines,
