Just curious if any of y'all know an updated estimated completion date on this. Back when they started, they were saying summer 2023, but you know how that sort of thing goes. Especially those of y'all that normally use the Linton Rd bridge in Benton and had to detour for so long.

I can't find anything on the "official websites" other than summer 23, but looking at it this weekend, that isn't going to happen. I was on the detour side of the Black Bayou bridge and for as little as it was it took a solid year. For as big as Caddo's bridge is... Well I can see it taking 3 years.

I'm thinking Nutt is all over this, he works on the other side of the bridge and has to detour every day  :surrender:

It like a ghost town out there at the bridge site.  I was at Drift Inn eating lunch one day and the lady said there used to be 30-40 people working and now theres maybe 10.  As far as the detour, I wont go thru Mooringsport anymore since the LA 530 bridge was completed and the road is open again.  The town of Mooringsport is making alot of money off of traffic tickets thanks to the bridge being down.

That ain't no joke, I know many folks that had bad trailer lights and Barney Fife was all over them...

Looks like tomorrow is the day.

It'll be nice to not have to drive through Mooringsport to get to tournaments at Earl G.

I'm sure the people in Mooringsport that live on the detour road will be glad, too. I'm sure they've been getting a lot of truck traffic that they never did before.
