I have been on an effective swimbait bite recently and I have been experimenting with different swimbait screw lock jig heads. These came across my radar recently. I will keep you guys posted on my experience with them. :)

How did you post the large photo size instead of the small size?

This idea works for me in my post:

I post my pictures using the Tapatalk application on my smartphone.

Can I post larger photos directly from my PC?

My reply: I use two methods to attach swimbaits of any size to weighted or unweighted hooks.
The first is a the wire grip (see recent post).
Another is a wire coil attached to the line-tie. The lure is screwed on.

No, not from the PC.  We have picture size restrictions in place for that. If you choose to use the Tapatalk app in the future. I use the medium or small picture options which are the recommended size.

Only other advice I can offer is to take closer pictures to start with, that way when you post them its specifically showing what you would like show.

For example here are 2 pics of the same object. A toy astronaut. Pic 1 the whole astronaut.

But I just want to talk about the helmet. Pic 2 shows the helmet specifically. I just zoomed on the helmet.

Lou, it will be interesting to see your results. I have some ideas about using those screw locks. I know of several lure makers who have modified molds to use the screw locks, and really liked what I've seen.  I especially like the Owner style with the centering pin, for some applications, but of course they don't work with a jig head as you're showing.

Frank, I use a photo editor to resize photo's that I post direct from my PC, so I can get the sizes smaller and still show what I want to show. I also upload the photo's from my phone as "medium" size, to my PC ( I have to send them via email to myself ) as I have options, and that size seems to be big enough to see the detail, but doesn't use up a lot of bandwidth when posting.

Jim I have had excellent results over the last several weeks using the screw lock jig head versus the either styles. Just as I have had excellent results manipulating the size of the centering pin screw locks on my bigger plastics.
Both have increased my baits longevity on the hook.  :-*

I have an app that can do the resize thing but when I post pics all I get are thumbnails like these:

Frank, the forum software likely does that, and sets the photos as thumbnails so they're not taking up a lot of bandwidth. When folks open the photo, they show as whatever size they may be to the viewer.  Whenever I've posted several photos in a thread, mine are the same way, so I'm sure that's within the forum software.  But you still have some options for the actual photo sizes that can be posted.

Well, until I find out those options, here is the wire coil I spoke of that I've used with all kinds of plastics for years rigged on weighted or unweighted hooks.
For larger baits and hooks I go with a 22g coated wire and a larger nail to make a larger diameter coil. For smaller hooks and lures I go with a 24g wire which is thinner and I use a smaller diameter nail to produce a smaller coil.
Note: when changing or storing the lure, all that you have to do is unscrew the plastic from the coil thereby doing no harm to the lure which can be used again and again.

(Note: the swimbaits are hand poured.)

(The thumbnails opened to a decent size. Guess it's just a hassle for the viewer  - but worth it!)

Weighting a hook.
I ran out of weighted hooks and used clamp-on weights.
