Made a trip to the river this morning. I had to change the batteries in my boat so that gave me a good excuse to get out this morning and make sure everything was running right. Had a good morning and caught quite few decent fish. The river is coming back nicely from the storms and we are starting to see the fish finally grow to decent size. I caught my fish on a Funkbuster spinner bait and a Zoom speed craw. The fish were in or near cuts with flowing water. The water on the river looks good with about a 2 ft visibility which isn't bad for this time of year. The water is clearer north of the Serpent Bayou as usual. Most the fish were caught shallow in less than 4 foot of water but I did catch some in 8 to 10 ft. Looking forward to what the spring will offer up on the river.
