Kayak Trailer

I am working on modifying a utility trailer  into towing my kayak. I have made some rod tubes to carry my rod and reels but fear they may bounce around too much. Any ides on adding a rod box to my kayak trailer?

i tied a rod tube to a mule once for a 50 mile ride.  we stuffed t-shirts in the tube to quiet them to not scare the animals, and to keep things secure.  worked like a charm and we wore the shirts on the backpack trip out.
