FD sure is cranking out some excellent rods!  I ordered a 7-6 flipping and pitching stick with a cork split grip with minimal graphics. It has a good parabolic action and would even make for an excellent swimbait rod. I can't wait to get back out on the water to break it in. Thanks FD. You do impressive work! I'm so excited!

I'll add to my review after I get some water time with it.

Great looking rod Steve!

I have a 6' 3" rod with carbon grip and spiral wrapped guides on order from FD.  I plan to use it mostly for throwing lightweight jerkbaits but will probably throw some small cranks and topwaters with it as well.

I almost went with a flippinn/froggin stick similar to yours though.

I won't get to put mine to use until next spring so FD doesn't have to hurry on the build.

Thanks bud, it's top notch.

Thanks Steve.

Your rod started as a NFC MB 808 Extra Heavy power Moderate Fast action that I cut down to 7-6.  The EH gives you more power than you need and the MF action delivers that power over a few micro seconds instead of instantly to keep from tearing a hole on the close up hooksets.  I also balanced it to the front of the reel seat to save your forearm on those all day pitching sessions.
