I wish I had remembered to post about this before the event started so others could have potentially joined in but I had forgotten about the email...

Anyways St. Croix rods had a special 500 rod release with $100 of ea rod going to Casting For Recovery. I managed to get 2 (1 for the wifey) and they look really good! She was impressed with how shiny the pink was. Just a basic 7' Med action spinning rod (on their Triumph line) but was for a good cause so I didn't get any flak for buying "more" rods lol!

I love em!! Got introduced to them in 2011 or so and have been primarily them ever since. So many lines at different price points. If you've never fished one try a Victory 7'3" MH. It's at the mid/lower end of the line but has their sc6 technology rolled into it.

What would you call that, a jig/worm rod?

It is a really good rod for that in the 3/8 to 5/8oz range imo. That rod in particular (called The Marshal) is very interesting as it handles so many things well. I've used a chatterbait with it, buzzbait, cranked 10-12'ers with it, just one of those rods that works.

I've only used the St Croix ice fishing rods. They are a great rod.
A bad day fishing is better then a good day at work. Take a kid fishing
