I purchased one to see what it might be. I picked Bone in color. I may be premature in this post because I have not fished it much yet.  I caught one Bass about 2.5 lb on the lake I live on which is an awful lake to fish. Thing is with this fish he grabbed it the second the lure touched the water so I pretty much threw it in his mouth. I fished it for about 20 minutes and it was 2pm in the afternoon.

This bait is basically a hard bodied Chatterbait that rides the surface. It creates quite the disturbance across the surface. It generates a Dog walking action just by cranking it along. It very castable but must be retrieved quickly once in the water as it does sink. This could be an advantage as much as a disadvantage because if a fish were to miss it then it falling back in front of their face could get a reaction.

As I fish this lure more in different scenarios I will add to this thread with updates. I just wanted to get the conversation started and see if any one else has any experience with it yet. Updates to come.

Sounds like it might be a good peacock lure, with a fast, walk the dog action.  They love zara spooks fast.

I got an email from an online shop that has them, and looks like a unique lure, but have not seen one in person.

Just based on the advertising photo, it looks like the blade is in the back and in front of the rear treble. that made me wonder, if the blade might interfere with getting a good hook set sometimes.

I would be interested in what you find once you use it more.

Def an interesting looking lure! I'm sure the bait monkey will convince me that I NEED one...

Unique looking lure that's for sure.

Found a gift card that I haven't used, and I ordered one of these lures. Stay tuned for my first impressions.

have a great baitshop just down the road from the house.  younger guys run it and a guide service out of it.  also hosts lodging for anglers.
they tend to have a decent selection of some of the 'newer' cutting edge stuff...

tackleshops are great places to listen to talk.  I did get to listen in on some folks discussing the hellraiser.  sounded intriguing.  sounded as if they were having some success.  this was about a month ago.  not sure that the 'right window' to use this bait may have already passed here on the TN river...

I'm looking forward to fishing with this lure. Our weather is finally cooling down, and once our waters recede a bit I think this lure will perform well. Its definitely a lure our fish haven't seen before.  :-*

lou:  some of the comments/observations that got my attention... seems often enough the fish were jumping up and attacking the bait from the top...

On Okeechobee and the St. John's and a few other lakes in Florida, it would be a good needlefish imitation.

My trips keep involving moving water lately and not much top water action there.  Lure is still tied on. I need to get to the Roc, I that is a place it will shine.

Just received a notification mine will arrive on Monday.

Fished mine again today for about a half hour and around an area of pads, docks, Kissimmee Grass, 4-5 ft of water.  Good looking area. Nothing.  :(

Bummer!!

I have at least 2 hours on this bait at this point and in some good areas. Not one swirl with the exception of the first trip when the one hit it as soon as it hit the water. So, I am not very impressed to say the least.  I am going to head waters Monday if there is no luck then we will likely stick it in the history hole somewhere.

are you getting any bites on topwater (buzzbaits, toads, speed worms) at all in same places, times?

Not really. but have been focussed on this one pretty much exclusivly.  Also cancelled the Headwaters trip due to weather.
