It has been almost 8 weeks since my last run on the River.  Hot weather and some family illness has kept us away for all this time.  Fall has arrived and now is the time to renew our river confessional.

The boat is on the charger and all the systems have been checked and are working as they should.  Hooked up the muffs and fired the big motor for a couple minutes.  Once again the old Fast Strike fired up and a haze of blue smoke filled the air.  I swear this is almost as effective as Viagra to this old angler.  After all this time chasing motor gremlins has paid off and the Fast Strike sounds ready to blast off on the river tomorrow and Thursday also.  All I have to do now is load up the tackle, hook up the trailer and head out.  I can't tell you how exciting it is to know all the updating I did on the motor has paid off.  Should have been doing my own motor work all along.
