Good morning to everyone,
Forecasted temps across Central Texas this morning 62/87dgrs with 77% humidity and a N wind @ 4mphs.  There's still no measurable rain  in next 10day forecast.

Busy day yesterday; Went in got our weekly time sheets filled out; purchased gas for the mower and trimmer; rearranged some yard boulders >use to keep people from parking in the yard< I had to use a tow strap and the Silverado to move them.  Finished that task and fired up the John Deere and mowed and trimmed the yard.   The wife trimmed the front hedges.  I finished my taskings up with replacing the garage side door dead bolt locking device.  After 18 years it decided to quit working.  Spent the afternoon relaxing in preparation to attend our High School Performance of The Hobbit. It was an excellent performance the kids did a great job.

We're off to church here shortly.  Lunch will be me grilling some pork steaks and the wife fixing some mixed oven broiled veggies.   Relaxing is on the schedule for the rest of the day.

Bud; You had busy day washing and cleaning the boat and vehicles.  Glad to hear your river trip was a successful outing.  Working around the property is never ending.  My October calendar is quiet as busy as yours.  I do have a follow up medical appointment at the CPAP Clinic this coming Thursday.  Next month I have load of follow up medical appointment though.

Dog; Glad you had the time to stop by.  To bad the weather isn't acting right for you to get out on the water.  Our lakes around here are low also due to the lack of rain.  Good luck on deciding about your vehicles.  Those little Coopers are cool looking cars.  I still have ya in my daily prayers.  Hope the recovery and healing are going in the right direction for ya.

Rodney; Hope all is well at the home front.   Your still in my daily prayers my good man.

To everyone have a Blessed Day today.  Make some time to just relax and take things easy.

Good morning!!! 47 headed to 57, mostly cloudy, possible showers. I know it's been over a week since I've been on and it's going to be spotty at best for a while. I found out I will be having a shoulder replacement, I can start my injections for my back in November but you already knew that, I'm having problems with my gut, a couple of weeks ago, I suddenly was having something like diarrhea everyday, Imodium left me constipated, I've lost weight trouble there is it's mostly muscle. I haven't been able to get back to the gym, I'm weak and constantly tired. A week ago I had blood in my stool with pain in my in my lower belly, got into see a Doctor Then day after I called, I called Monday afternoon and was seeing a Doctor tuesday afternoon, she gave me a referral to a surgeon, met him, and I have a cat scan coming up this Friday and a colonoscopy next week, Tuesday if memory serves. I'm on a bland soft diet now, my stool was void of blood when I saw the first Doctor. My sugar was bouncing all over the map but now seems to have settled down. The surgeon didn't seem overly concerned, I had 2 blood tests before I saw him, one routine the other for this problem, a couple of items were out of normal but not badly the PSA was well within normal. My prostate is enlarged but smooth and healthy, no real problem there. Yesterday I went outside, first time for the need of fresh air and not an appointment. I walked around a bit in the backyard, picked up a few things and put them away, and went back inside, felt good but I was bushed. I'm tired of reading, watching television and bland food and drink but I'll behave, don't have much choice. My Mom had diverticulitis and I'm thinking that may be the problem, we'll see, I don't dwell on self diagnosis, waste of time. I'm in good hands so I'll be napping quite a bit for awhile.
Have a great day, be well!!!

Greetings to all from down here in Central Texas  :)

Our forecasted temps for today were 62 - 87dgrs with 32% humidity and a SE wind at 12mphs.

Somewhat busy day at work.  I established (3) teams and we starting cleaning the areas we didn't last Friday Night.  The Director called for an all hands meeting during lunch today.  The front office catered in sandwiches from one of the local vendors.  She conducted a semi quick slide presentation and then released us.

I'm feeling pretty good so far with taking all these med's.  The body is still draining the excess fluids which is a good thing.  My blood pressure is looking pretty good also.  Tks again to everyone that had me on their prayer list.

Rodney; My good man I thought there was something going on.  We have you in our daily prayers.  Tks for the update.  Keep us posted on the upcoming surgery.

Top; Young kids will do that to ya.  I felt like that when my (2) grandkids were done here during the 4th of July.

To everyone have a relaxing and pleasant evening.

Good evening to all,
Beautiful day across Central Texas today.  The forecasted temps were 66 - 85dgrs with 39%humidity and a SE wind @ 11mphs.

Busy morning at school, had numerous service orders to submit, I ran the riding floor scrubber over a couple hallways, cleaned up a couple messes in the classrooms and put away some supplies that were stacked outside the office door.  The afternoon was pretty quiet.  I had to counsel one of my team members for his actions on 6 Oct 22.  Made copies of the documents and dropped them off at the Director's Office.

The evening here is more relaxing just as soon as I finish this.  I hope everyone had a good day today and tomorrow is a better day.  Be safe in your travels if you have to get out and about.

Greetings from Belton, Texas  :)
Forecasted temp for Central Texas was 62-92dgrs with 31% humidity and a SE wind @ 5mphs.

Kinda busy today I finished up a couple small tasks of replacing razor blades in our hand held scrapers.  Modified the hand held floor scrubbers.  I had to put a machine screw and lock nut on the pad attachment.   Some how or another I'm missing 3 of the pad mounts.  Hopefully the Night Shift will locate them so I can get those fixed.

I have 2 team members that gave me their 2 week notice.  With them gone here in a few days I'll be short 5 personnel.  It doesn't look all that promising for me getting any replacements either.

Not much happening later on this week.  I got a medical appointment tomorrow with the Sleep Apnea Clinic.  It's my annual check in.  I just received my yearly resupply a couple days ago.

To everyone I hope today was a pleasant day for Ya'll.  Be safe in your travels if you have to get out on the road ways.

Afternoon to all,

Bright sunny skies covered Central Texas today.  Our forecasted temps were 53-87dgrs with 20% humidity and a NE wind @ 12mphs.

Pretty much a slack day today for me.  I worked a half day and spent the rest of the afternoon (-) having lunch with my wife at Clems BBQ place making doctor's appointments.  I woke up yesterday morning with a huge blister on my lower leg.  With these med's I'm taking I can feel my body shedding the excess fluids.  Monday I have a walk in appointment with my doctor to check this out.  My wife put a dressing on it but sometime during the day it popped and drained out.  It was kinda weird.

Hope everyone had a good day today.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a better one  ;)

Howdy to everyone,

It was another beautiful day across Central Texas.  Forecasted temps were 67-90dgrs with 36% Humidity and a S wind @ 8mphs.

Easy day for me at work today.  Spent the morning getting the school set up for some out of town visitors.  Today is Homecoming and everyone is fired up and ready to party.  Had to make some minor repairs to one of the riding floor scrubber.  The afternoon was spent tinkered around on the computer.

To everyone ya'll have a pleasant and safe weekend ahead.

Good morning to everyone,
We're starting the day off with Blue Bird Skies and a forecasted temp of 69-93dgrs with 90%humidity and a S wind @ 8mphs.

The wife and I are off to take in Market Days here in downtown Belton.  They close off the streets surrounding the town square and vendors come in and setup.  I think we're also heading over to the Expo Center there's an Arts and Craft venue going on there.  Lunch will be had somewhere  :food ;PEP)  ~shade
So today will be spent with the wife  ;)

Our lakes are still low > Belton Lake 12.11feet below Summer Pool; Stillhouse Lake 10.31ft below Summer Pool.  At some of the ramps its getting harder to launch your boats.  There are lots of unsubmerged objects sticking up now so there caution for those driving out on the lakes.

To everyone have a very pleasant and enjoyable day with your families.  Tight lines if you are able to get out on the water.

Good to hear from you! New York offers some great fishing opportunities for both largemouth and smallmouth bass, and other species if you want.

Wish you all the luck with the move and congrats on the new boat

P.S. Don't be such a stranger.

HUA! (HOOAH if you prefer the modern spelling.) Welcome back. I give you big credit on being a DI (or whatever ROTC calls them now) because I know I don't have the patience for it. Especially with all the politiclal "correctness" run amuck in our military now.

Good Sunday morning to all  ~shade
Forecasted temps for us this morning are 61-90dgrs with 94%humidity with a SE wind @ 7mphs.  There's an ever slight chance for a rain shower this afternoon.  I'm not holding my breath though.

We're off to church here shortly.  I'm going to grill some burgers this afternoon.  The wife is fixing some French Fries to go along with them.  This will be lunch today.  I'm going to head into the office later on to knock out the time sheets.  The system was being upgraded Friday Night and all day Saturday.  After that it's recliner time  ;)

Rodney, Bud;  I hope the aches and pains haven't gotten ya'll down.  I have ya'll in my daily prayers.

Smallie &Top; Tks for stopping by.  Hope things are well at yawls Home Front.

Dark 3; When do you start your move back to Upstate NY?

Sounds like a good relaxing sunday. I dont have anything planned other than my Eagles game tonight (really late afternoon on the west coast). The movers are supposed to be here on the 17th of November to start packing so we will be pretty displaced starting around then. I dont plan on start driving until around the 26th and will take about a week to make it there. My lower back isnt going to be happy with all that sitting. We bought a really nice home built in 2004, 3100 sf 5/3 on a fenced in acre about 5 minutes south of post. We are having the floors replaced and interior paint refreshed (hopefully if time permits) in this next month or so before we arrive. The previous owners had a tenent there that was a bit undisciplined with some marking cats that was discovered later so those floors are coming right up!

Spent the day "Driving Miss Daisy" and her childhood friend.  Her friend has never  been to Myrtle Beach until last night.  We picked her up at the hotel this morning and came home while the two old friends spent the morning talking.  We then headed over to Drunken Jacks for lunch and then returned to our house where the two old ladies slept off their lunch  LOL.  I thought they would be talking all day but they seem to have run out of gas for now.  We will be returning her friend to the hotel about 5 or 6 pm tonight so she can get ready for her flight early tomorrow morning.

It has been a nice warm day with temps into the lower 80s but a bit windy  from the SW at about 15-20 mph.  Some clouds starting to roll in before clearing off and the temps are gonna take a big drop beginning tonight with lows here at the beach in the lower 40s but into the upper 30s inland.  Expect the same for Wednesday night into Thursday.

Once again dropping off the expedition at the Ford dealer for some more electrical work.  After they replaced the window regular on the front passenger side the window switch on the master panel went kaput so they replaced that a week ago.  Now the remote mirrors won't adjust so they are gonna work on that.  Seems like we have an electrical cascade going on that I believe may be being caused by the new after market window regular.  Anyhow, I hope they fix that dang thing once and for all.  I don't intend to pay for this repair as I now believe that the dealer has caused this problem.  I hope it works out that way but we will see.

Donald Garner

Good evening to all,

We had an un-forecasted light rain shower move through the area early this morning.  The forecasted temp for across Central Texas were 48-72dgrs with 34% humidity with a N wind @ 19mphs.  There's a front moving into our area late tonight.  Temps in the morning are suppose to range from 38 - 50 dgrs in the morning.

Somewhat busy day at the Fun Farm today.  Spent the early morning repairing a shop vac from the Theater Arts Department.  Someone yanked the cord out of the outlet and damaged the plug.  I went to Lowes and bought a new plug.  I spent a few minutes on the riding floor scrubber cleaning up a couple messes that were made in the hallway.  The rest of the day I spent breaking down the cleaning areas for the 4 people I have on the night shift now.  I'm down to 4 people working the Night Shift.  People keep on quitting and moving onto a higher paying job.  I sure can't blame them for that now.

Bud; Sounds like a quiet day for you not having any Honey Do's.  Good luck with getting the vehicle fixed.  I hate electrical issue when it comes with vehicles.  Our temps are dropping also sometime tonight.  I'm liking this weather we're having right now.

Dark3; Good luck with getting the house in shape prior to moving in.  You still got a little time left before that road trip.  Hope the weather holds good for ya during that late Nov - early December time frame.

Alrighty ya'll have a relaxing evening and be safe out there traveling.

Not all that much going on today.  I did refinish the headlight lenses on the Expedition and they turned out fairly good.  Since the temps are dropping to at least 40 tonight, I had to protect the wife's tender tropical plants just in case it gets colder than 40.  Better safe than sorry.  She loves her plants so I have to do what ever it takes to protect them.
Tomorrow I have to drop off the expedition at the ford service shop to try to fix my slight electrical problem and then I have to stop by Walmart to pick up some prescriptions.  Hopefully that will be all I will have on my plate but somehow I doubt it.

Simple supper tonight of some Chicken tenders so no cooking except for a quick microwave job.  Everyone have a great evening.

Donald Garner

Greetings to all,

Beautiful day across Central Texas today.  It was 39dgrs here this morning.  Our forecasted temps were 39-66dgrs with 24% humidity with a N wind @ 9mphs.

I had an appointment this morning with my Urology's.  He wants to see me again in Jan.  The afternoon went by pretty quick.  My supervisor came over and talked with my Night Shift crew about their work performance.  Got home from work and Carl came over and borrowed the cargo trailer.  He's fixing to haul a bunch of mulch from the nursery to his place.

Bud; Good luck in getting that electrical issue fixed on your vehicle.  We had a simple supper tonight also.  Deli sliced chicken breast with sliced tomatoes with sliced cucumbers on wheat bread  :food ;PEP)

I hope everyone is doing well at their home fronts.  Be safe in your travels if you have to get out and about.

Bud, sounds like a nice calm day. Don, what are you doing for work now?

Record cold last night down to 37 at 7AM today.  More of the same for tonight and possibly Thursday night.  Stead breeze from the NNE keeping it cool even with the bright sunny day we are having.  Will have to cover up the tropical plants for a couple more nights thats for sure.

Took the Expedition in to get the electrical fixed.  It turned out that when they replaced the master control switch on the drivers window console they had not hooked up the power mirror adjuster.  All is now fixed so we are good to go and there was no bill for this fix.  I was prepared for a battle but it turned out not to even be a problem so all is good for now.

Thinking about having some work done on the Expedition.  It still looks and runs great at 125K miles and I don't want to buy a new vehicle.  I have decided just to spend some money and have the suspension system updated with new shocks, brakes and any steering components it needs.  If it needs anything else then I will have that done too.  I would rather spend a couple thousand on the Expedition than spend 60K+ to replace it.  The expedition is 15 years old and has always been a great vehicle that is perfect for traveling and towing even with not so good gas mileage around town.  On the road it will get about 19 MPG but around town is drops down to 13 MPG.  By the time I get around to these repairs I will likely want a new set of tires just to finish the job off right.  I just don't understand how an average Joe can afford a new car these days.  My wife's Monte Carlo is 17 years old but only has 44K miles so it is a candidate for some new belts and hoses and that is about it.  I suppose the belts and hoses on the Expedition would also be a good idea.

Nothing else planned for today so will just kinda hang out here at the house.  I am doing some Chuck Steak tonight in the Pressure cooker so it should be a great meal.  The pressure cooker will make the steak as tender as it can be.  The side dish is Scalloped potatoes and topped off with some sweet tea.

Donald Garner

Good evening to everyone,

Forecasted temps for today across Central Texas were 38-67dgrs with 28% humidity and a SE wind @ 6mphs.  It was a little on the chilly side on the way to work this morning.  I broke out a hoodie once I got to work.

Busy day today.  I had my Day shift outside person quit last night.  He got pissed cause I asked him to work some over time.  He called HR and was wanting to know why he had to work overtime etc.  He told me that working over time was taking time away from his Service Dog.  I came in this morning his keys, badge and work shirts were lying on my desk.  I'm supposed to have 17 personnel assigned to the school.  I have 12 personnel now.  Monday I'll have 11 as another Night Shift person will be quitting.  She told me she's going to start attending college.  I wished her well.

Bud; Glad to hear the fix on the vehicle went smooth and hassle free.  Earlier this year I dumped a bunch of $$$ into the wife's Silverado.  It now running great and the paint job still looks pretty good.  Good luck with getting everything fixed on the Expedition.

Dark 3; Glad to see you on line buddy.  I'm working for the school district still.  I'm retiring on the 3rd of Jan.

To everyone I hope the aches and pains haven't gotten y'all down and out.  I have everyone in my daily prayers still.  Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for everyone.

Having a fun day today playing in my overflow tackle storage in the garage.  Temps now is 68 degrees and sunny.  Got the big door open and it is nice and warm as I sit and look through all the stuff that I have stored in the overflow cabinets.  Some of this stuff is quite old but still in great condition especially the plastics.  It has been interesting that some of the older soft plastics are quite covered in an anise smelling oil after all these years.  This is almost as good as smelling 2 stroke in the morning air.  Some of the drawers are for had baits and some are for plastics and some are for boat motor spare parts and some have older casting reels of the Lew's speed spool variety.

The neighbor kids used to come by and I would give them all the baits they needed but now they are all grown up and spend their time chasing girls instead of bass.  Oh well I think we all did the same thing but I do miss them comming by but they are all grown now and juniors or seniors in high school.  Every once in a while one will stop and shoot the bull for a while but not too often.  I miss their younger days and their excitement when raiding my storage cabinets.

Forecasted temps for across Central Texas today were 53-83dgrs with 23% humidity and a SE wind @ 9mphs.

Some what busy day at the fun farm.  It was almost a ground hog day.  Got home the wife had supper fixed.  She made Soup beans, cornbread and fried cabbaged.  I'm full now  :surrender:

Bud; Your day was a really relaxing one.  Good for you for having it.
Dark 3; The reason we're understaffed is NO One wants to work for the wages that the School Districts pays their Custodians.  Base pay for a custodian is $11.00 dollars an hour.  If you have some experience then you're pay is a little bit more.  The budget is done by the school board.  I've been working for the district for 8 yrs now and we have gotten some form of a raise every year.  The raises are not that much.

Yes sir I'm ready for this retirement for sure.  My wife has asked me numerous times since I've decide if I was sure.  My answer has been the same YEP  ;)  There are things for me to do around here at the house.  It's not going to take to long to get them knocked out.  I want to get back on that front deck and start slinging baits this coming Spring  ~shade
