Happy October everyone! Been kinda bored today, put my new stereo system and new blacked out headlights (I hate chrome) in my Eclipse GT, right after I got done with all the yard cleanup and mowing. Now to figure out what to do for dinner....

Today was a great weather day.  Nice and cool with a breeze and plenty of sunshine.  Started the day cleaning ujp the lawn and then putting back the stuff that I packed away due to the storm.  Then off to the recycle center to get rid of some of the debris that came out of the trees during the storm.  It was such a nice day I foolishly decided to clean out the garage.  This all started when looking for a tool that I needed so it just got out of control and after a couple hours the garage is all cleaned out and things are kinda put away.  Truth is all I accomplished was getting some hours on my pile it license.
We has some lasagna and a salad for supper and now getting ready to watch some TV for a bit.  I am a bit tired but I did enjoy all of the tasks today. I did go visit the Ranger boat today at the storage lot.  Just wanted to see how it did during the storm.  Happy to report all is well and once again the Ranger cover kept the boat nice and dry and was happy that there were no rips or tears.  You just can't beat those Ranger provided travel covers.

Don't post much but this is funny and sad. I live in N. Calif. Wife, and I decided that the old carpets in the 4 bedrooms needed replaced. We hired a great guy, and he installed new super wood type flooring in the rooms. This is the funny part our labradoodle who we love very much, our children are grown and have their own family, this is our baby now, is absolutley terrified of the new floor. Don't know how to fix this. I tried food bribes no luck. We liked the new floor so much we hired him do the rest of the house. So I have to find a way to fix this! Any ideas?

Good morning to all,

We're starting the morning off with Blue Bird Skies across Central Texas  ~shade

Forecasted temps for today are 52-86dgrs with 68% humidity and a N wind @ 4mphs.
Still no rain in the upcoming forecasts.

We're off to church here shortly.  I'm grilling steaks and the wife is fixing roasted veggies in the oven.  Not anything pressing going on this afternoon.  Looks like a relaxing afternoon to me  ;)

twocold; Congrats on the upgrade flooring.  It will take some time for your dog to get used to walking on the hardwood. We had the same issue when we had hardwood floors installed in our house also.

Bud; You're a busy man there sounds like.  Glad to hear the Ranger wasn't damaged during the storm.  I've checked out some of those Custom Travel Covers around here.  They are really durable looking.  I need to replace my G3 cover once again.  We had some really high winds with that rain that came through a couple weeks ago.  The G3 has finally dried out.  I need to put everything back in it.

To everyone out there I hope you're day is a relaxing one.  Be safe traveling if you're out and about.

Donald glad your doing good and congrats on the weight loss. Congrats on the retirement too.
Tops what speakers did you put in? I have thought about changing the stereo in my beemer said forget it the factory system is pretty dang nice. The wifes toyota has a decent system in it I want to upgrade her speakers but she says no lol.
I am thinking of changing out the system in my cooper but like the beemer its pretty stout system from the factory comes with the harmon karden amp has subs from factory etc I would probably leve the stock speakers in it change out the stereo its self as I do want the navigation in it. The old tundra has kenwood system with kicker speaker systema and subs good enough for it.
Like the blackout headlights.
Bud I need to do the same thing clean out my garage my wife is retiring next june she wants it setup for her wood turning lathe and stuff so I guess I need to do that very soon.
Rodney hope your doing well and your healing up good.
twocold what we did was put some throw rugs down until the dogs got over thier fear of the wood floors then started removing them now they love to come running into the front room full speed and slide lol weiner dogs and runted beagles are a hand full.
Everyone have a good day think the other half and I are going to go for a ride up to a ghost town or tow take the cooper for a ride. Have a great weekend whats left of it and be safe.

Good evening to all,
Forecasted temps from across Central Texas today was 56-85dgrs with 21% humidity and an E wind @ 5mphs.  Still very little to no rain in the near future forecast.

Slow day for me at work today.  I only worked a 1/2 day and attended medical appointment during the afternoon.  I had a follow up appointments with one of the doctors that prescripts prescriptions.   She was reviewing my recent medical history and decided not to change any of my meds right now.  I still have follow up with my other doctors everyday this week.  I now have a lab appointment tomorrow after my acupuncture appointment.  They want more blood.

Dog; Tks for the comments on the weight loss and my pending retirement in Dec.  I see the weather is still not good for yawls parts. We're needing some rain here across Central Texas also.  You and the wife enjoy the day trip you have planned.

bassmedic46; Glad you had the opportunity to get out and wet a line.

Top; Hope you enjoy that new sound system.

To everyone have a relaxing evening and a very pleasant day tomorrow.

Boat is in the driveway and the batteries are being charged.  We plan on fishing Wednesday afternoon and go back out sometime on Thursday.  Winds are returning to normal although it is still a bet cool.  it was only 47 this morning and currently it is 68 with a blue bird sky.  Temps to be in the 70s the rest of the week with lite winds and no rain.  It will just be good to get out on the river even if I only get to blow the stink off.

Gassed up the Expedition this morning for $3.03 per gallon.  Some stations in the area went up on their prices yesterday and some are asking $3.30 per gallon.  I will need to gas up the boat after out outing tomorrow and I have not seen the prices for non ethanol but I suspect it will be very near $4. if not over that. I see OPEC is planning a price increase so I guess that is why the pricies are now starting to climb at some locations.

Finished repairing a dresser drawerr in the bedroom.  Had to do the best I could and the repair appears to be good and the drawer is sliding smoothly.  This was one of those 20+ year honey do items that I really have been reluctant to tackle.  Had to get a new wooden slide set up and then mcgyver it a bit to get everything to align.  It is not perfect but it works really well so I guess it is a success at this time.  Momma will now have to find something else to fuss about.

bassmedic46

Good Afternoon Everyone, Didn't do much today. Brought my sleep Apnea test back this morning. Now get to wait for the results.

Bud, Those are great gas prices. We are at 3.30.

Donald, Prayers you get good results from your blood draw and Drs appointments.

Greetings from Belton, Texas
Beautiful bright sunny day today across our area.  Forecasted temps were 56-87dgrs with 23% humidity and an E wind @ 4mphs.

Another 1/2 day at work and 1/2 day at medical appointments.  I had my regularly scheduled Acupuncture appointment this morning.  Beings I was at the hospital I stopped in the lab and had some blood drawn and a urine sample taken.  Tomorrow I get to see my personal physician.  My medical appointment on Friday is with my Kidney Doctor.  Hopefully he's gotten the results back from the biopsy.

The wife fixed an easy meal of Chicken Nuggets and French Fries for supper.  When I get done here I'm heading towards the recliner.

bassmedic 46; Good luck with the Sleep Apnea Test.  I have a CPAP machine and I'm sleeping a lot better.  I don't travel without it.

Bud; Tight lines and enjoy that boat ride out on the river tomorrow.  Gas prices around here in Central Texas range from $2.84 / $3.05 for regular unleaded.

Rodney; Hope things are going well for ya and that Arthritis hasn't gotten you down.

To everyone have a relaxing evening.  I hope tomorrow is a better day for everyone.

Nice afternoon on the river.  Had to take the expedition in for a repair appointment today so had to go fishing this afternoon.  Wife also had a schedule conflict so the afternoon worked best.  We are going out again tomorrow late morning.

Blue bird skies lite breeze with temps at 74 degrees.  We fished the incoming tide and did not get a bite we will be fishing the outgoing tomorrow if everything works out but again will be blue bird skies and lite winds with temps in the mid to upper 70s in the afternoon.  Morning will be cool but don't expect to launch until about 11AM or so.

The Ranger and the Fast Strike performed flawlessly so no problems there.  I guess when you think about it that too is a big win.

We are having pizza tonight and will watch a few Blue Bloods re runs on the tube.  Hope everyone has a great evening and a great day tomorrow.

Good evening to all,

Another beautiful bright sunny Texas day here.   Forecasted temps were 58-88dgrs with 24% humidity and a SE wind @ 4mphs.

It was another 1/2 day at work and 1/2 day attending medical appointments.  The wife and I went out to eat after the medical appointment.  We're now home relaxing for the evening.  I have one more medical appointment this week.  Friday's appointment is with my kidney doctor.  He should have the biopsy report back by now.

Bud; Tks for sharing the afternoon river trip with us.  I hope ya'll are able to catch a fish or two during tomorrow's trip.  Glad to hear the Ranger Ran flawlessly today.  It's about time with all the work you had done and you did yourself.

To everyone have a relaxing and pleasant evening.  Be safe in your travels if you have to get out and about.

Another fun day on the river.  Once again blue bird skies temps 79 with a calm breeze.  We fished the outgoing tide and had some bites but only a couple of pickerel to show for it.  We could find some fish holding tight to bank cover but they would not bite our offerings.  All bites came in about 12 ft of wter about 10ft off the bank in current breaks.  We are going out again tomorrow.  Weather will be about the same with a few more clouds and a bit higher temps into the 80s   Water temp today is 66-67.  All in all it was an enjoyable afternoon.  Here are some pics for the areas we were fishing today.

Good evening to all from Belton, Texas

Another beautiful sunny day across Central Texas  ~c~  Forecasted temps across the area were 62-88dgrs with 24% humidity and an E wind @ 6mphs.

Nice quiet day at the school work front.  I spent most of the day on the computer.  I had to write up a performance counseling on one of my team members.  Hopefully this write up will get his attention.  IF not then there will be more following.

Bud; Tks for sharing those pictures of the river.  Congrats on the catching also.  A fish is a fish no matter what  ;)  How far do you run up the river when you just go out for a boat ride?  Again glad to hear the Ranger is running great.  Ya'll enjoy the day out tomorrow.

Rodney; You wrestling with the Arthritis Pain and back pain now?  IF so I hope you get to feeling better.  I got you in my daily prayers.

To everyone have a relaxing and pleasant evening.  I hope everyone is doing good and enjoying the time with their families.

Donald, our river trips tend to be in the 10 -12 mile range one way. If we need to go further than that we will launch closer to our destination.  My old fast strike is such a gas hog that it does not take long to go through a tank of gas.

Donald Garner

Good morning to everyone,
Forecasted temps across Central Texas this morning are 61-91dgrs with 63% humidity and a N wind @3mphs.

Somewhat busy day today I have a medical appointment with the kidney doctor this morning.  Hopefully all the results are back from the testing that was done.  The afternoon will be back at work finishing up the week. I hope everyone has a really pleasant day today.

Bud; Tks for the information.  I've always wondered how far you fished or traveled on the river there.  Those were some great looking areas you fished there.  Tks for sharing those pictures with us.

Today was are third consecutive day on the river.  Weather is still perfect.  High temp today was 85 and water temp is 65.  Another blue bird sky day and the fishing was not productive but we had a lot of fun anyway.

When returning home I cleaned up the boat and then power washed the trailer to get rid of all that brackish stuff.  I also have the hull a good heavy rinse at the same time.  The cover is now on the boat and will probably take it back to storage in the morning.  Just too tired to do it tonight.  The rods are all put away in the garage ready rack so no more boat stuff today.
There were more folks out on the river today but still not all that many.  Fishing weekdays the river is mostly populated by the grey hair navy.  We are gonna take the weekend off and head back to the river one or two days next week if the weather forecast holds.

Bud glad your getting out sure wished had some water for me to launch in. Maybe next year.
welp took my beemer in to the dealer for its 30k service aint looking forward to that bill. Would get rid of it but then I wouldnt have my midlife crisis toy lol.
Thinking of dumping my cooper though even though I do love that car.
Insurance paid off on the new tundra that got totaled now time to try and find another truck still have my old tundra probably own that one until I croak been a completely trouble free truck kinda hard to get rid of a vehicle like that.
My wife is on her count down to her retirement 8 months left to go for her. I should retire but just dont feel like I really want to yet thinking couple more years maybe.
everyone have a good weekend not sure what I am going to do this weekend.

Bud Kennedy

Took the boat back to the storage lot today.  It looks really good after the cleaning we gave it yesterday.  I decided to wash the Expedition today and clean up the interior while I was at it.  It still looks great for a 15 year old vehicle.  This now completes the trifecta.  We cleaned the Boat, Cleaned the Expedition and a couple days ago we cleaned the Monte Carlo SS.  Other tasks today included some lite yard work and a clean out of many of the wife's flower beds.  Every thing looks great.  She wanted everything spiffed up for some guests we have coming about the middle of the month.
Just looking at the rest of my October calendar it sure is booking up quickly.  We have an anniversary coming up, Out of town guests. Dr. appointments.  Also planning on fishing each of the next few weeks as long as the weather holds up.
