Man this lake has my number lately. I decided to stay in the main lake all day, staying away from the cypress tree woods. Maybe a bad call... Weather was bluebird sky and no wind so it may not of mattered where I went, these are tough conditions anywhere.

Fishing mostly docks, I lost a good fish on a crank bait. Caught just one on a beaver style bait. Missed two on a swim jig and lost two at the boat on a swim jig. It was like the fish that would bite, weren't really eating but rather slapping at a bait out of reaction...

Not much else to say. Lake is still about a foot and a half low, water still only about 6 inches visibility, water temp continues to fall though, it's in the upper 70's now. A buzz bait should be the cat's meow but it drew no attention as I fished it off and on all day.

I don't fish Cross much. Purchased a permit yesterday, first one in 3 or 4 years. Got skunked.
