Hit up the pond for about an hour before work. Whew it was 101° and a full moon so I'm blaming that for not getting any bites lol. I tried light t-rig and also drug a carolina rig thru the deepest part of the pond. Felt some good stuff down there which could be the "attractors" placed in the pond per the website. Had been like 5 weeks since I fished last so just felt good to get out there. Could hear em in the thick reeds so I need to try punching again.

I don't think I could do a 101° degree without taking an occasional ride across the water at a high rate of speed. Sounds like good weather for night fishing.

Glad you are getting out, even if just for an hour.  Have you tried a senko along the reed edges?
I knew I shoulda re-tied!!

Pat- i haven't yet. They've let the shoreline stuff grow up so bad hard to get over top of it. I do have a pair of waders so may use those soon.

Night fishing could be the ticket. Easy to work topwaters or big worms, spinnerbaits.

Float tubes were popular on the ponds at Beale AFB.  And very refreshing in the hot summer time.

Haven't thought about those!! The water in the pond is quite cool coming from the well. As you can see from this July 2011 pic when they drained the pond the whole thing isn't very deep but for 1 area. When I was fishing from the kayak I seemed like a nice hard bottom everywhere I stuck my rod tip down to check.
