Hello, can someone tell me if I can hook up an old minn kota 12/24 volt footcontrolled trolling motor to 1 battery? All I get to work is con mode. Thanks

I would say you need to check the switch on the side of the pedal and set it to mom.  Or.....you need to check the switch as it may be made.  Point is if it works on con then it should work on all modes.

The foot switch may be bad or a wire to it may have come off. It's easy to replace and parts should be available.

Could foot switch be bad even if it makes the clicking sound when depressed?

Where is the click coming from, the switch, or the motor? The switch itself will make a click sound when you press it. How many battery cables do you have? Some boats were cabled with two sets and the 12v/24v mode was selected on the pedal.

On my switch it had 3 terminals and when 1 popped off the other positions worked but not it. If you flip the pedal over you can see it. Trying to find a pic of mine.

Rudy, that looks like a lot of corrosion, I'd try cleaning the connectors before anything else.

The click is from the switch.

Check all of the wire connections in the foot pedal for breaks and corrosion. If you have a VOM/multimeter or a continuity tester you can test the switch. My guess is that one of the switches is bad.  Easy fix.
