First Tourney

Hey guys, 

   I joined a local club in Yuba City.  There seems to be a little more politics.  Well okay alot more than hubcity.  Anyways Last months tournament was at Lake Berryessa. I fished as a non-boater, they draw names from a hat to pair up boater and non-boater.  I had my limit in the boat by about 1030.  Then the rest of the day it slowed and I got few shorts.  I ended up with 5 fish @6.72lbs, which put me in 12th place out of 22.  It would have taken another 2lbs to put me in the money.  I guess not too bad for my first trip.  I was just happy to have a limit.  I'm fishing as a boater for the next tournament, which is next weekend at the Delta.  There are suppose to be some monsters in there.  Hopefully I can find one or two.  Only wish I had western topo to guide me through the maze of rivers.  Well thats it for now, I will give an update next week.  Hope all of you are doing well.  Fish On.
