It's been a while since I fished a tournament on the river but the afternoon dog fights are back on so we went fish one last night. If you from this area you know the river took a lick from hurricane Laura. It is on a come back but most the fish are small. We caught a good number of fish for tournament but we fell short of having anything worth wild to weigh. It took a little over 7lbs to win the tournament and 5 lbs to cash a check. They paid 6 places last night. We caught fish on almost everything we threw but we just couldn't get into any keepers. We dropped two fish that would have kept and we had two keeper with the biggest one about a pound and half. The water right now is stained on the main river. We didn't go up the west fork but I can imagine it is clearer than the main river. The fish are pretty much every where right now. Put a bait in the water and you going to catch. In another year this place will be fun.

It's already been fun for us for sure. We catching about 40 a trip with best 5 between 8 pounds and sometimes 11 or 12. Sad part is I can't make the dog fights now since I had to move. I'll be out there Saturday morning again though. Rivers fishing like a champ now for numbers. Size is hit and miss
