I had an interesting day on Lake Hartwell today.  Me and my partner fished a large benefit tournament today with approximately 125 boats.

Fishing on Lake Hartwell today was tough.  We didn't boat our first keeper until 11 am.  In total,  we had three keepers totaling about 7 pounds.  We had two decent fish and one that we had to step on to make 12.25 inches. We had hits on a fluke first thing in the morning,  but with the exception of one short fish,  could not hook up with one.  Our two best fish came on chatterbaits over in the center of blow downs.  We got hits later in the afternoon on carolina rigs on points,  but the closest we got to catching one was having our worm snatched down.    Overall it was an enjoyable day,  but we did not perform well in this tournament.

When we left, 1/2 of the field had weighed in and first place was still 10 pounds if that gives you an idea.
