What is in your boat besides rods reels and lures/baits?

This can include necessities, luxuries, superstitions - whatever.

1 thing I always had in my boat was a survival bag of sorts in case I ever got stranded. Food, water, change of  clothes and some other essentials.

A sentimental item I also brought was a crankbait my son gave me that he bought me for my birthday when he was only 6 years old with his own allowance money.

So what's in your boat besides your normal fishing tackle?

1. Usually very few bass.
2. A survival pack/extra clothes. etc. especially in the Winter.
3. Tools. And more tools.
4. Spare prop, trolling motor prop, and shear pins for the latter. Can save a day.
5. Plenty of food and water, and yes- BANANAS.
6. Sunscreen, and some of those neck gators if things get out of hand.
7. Some extra tools.
8. I always tend to keep some extra fishing line in the boat. Almost never needed it, but still.
9. A GOOD tow rope with big hooks on each end. Invaluable.
10. A jump pack.
11. Some more bananas and maybe a few tools.

Never leave home without!!!!!!!!!
1].Several large heavy duty garbage bags
2].A full roll of toilet paper
3].A large empty jar, so your not standing on
    the edge of the boat.
Over the years these items have saved me and several fishing partners a few times.  Just empty one of the live wells of water, put the big bag in, add some paper, and you have a portable out house.  The older you get the more important these items are!  Never leave home without them!   :-* ~sun

I have never typed out this sort of checklist before, let's give it a shot:

- tool box
- fire extinguisher
- Noco jump box
- machete
- raingear
- pfd's
- throwable floating pad
- rope
- dock fenders
- dock lines
- flash light
- drift socks
- boat hook (utility stick)
- dry box
- first aid kit
- toilet paper
- bag of rags
- landing net

I think that's it. The rest is all fishing gear.

I travel light for the most part. Not shown in this video is my tool bag, landing net and oar.  I keep a first aid kit in the port console and another in the truck.
