Spent 3 days at Millers Ferry with my buddy John in the Xpress with me and we had mixed results. Day 1, I caught the only bite we had on a Jack Hammer, day 2 we put 16 keepers in the boat, all on the Jack Hammer and Covert spinnerbaits, day 3 we had 9 keepers an the same baits plus 1 on a DT 6. We could not get bit on plastics or cranks except for the one. Weather was cold day 1 with below freezing temps early warming to mid 50's, days 2 and 3 warming to upper 60's to low 70's and most clear skies, water levels had just dropped to near normal, 23' at Selma and 45' below the dam, still high but not to bad, visibility 1-2' in some areas, water temps 48 to 53 degrees. Probably the earliest in the year we have been to Millers Ferry and it was a learning experience for us.
Retired and loving every minute of it!
