Very interesting so far. And Wizard (and maybe Bud) is using my history of being Chargers' #1 salesman against me.

'Cuz I'm a metal boat kind of guy? Eric, you can go again. It'll be a 20' 'glass boat or bust.

no offense Dale, but are you buying the boat to use?  or to be a part of the old boys club?  that GatorTrax boat looks pretty amazing.  So too does the LUND (until they stopped offering the 'bass' seating)...

just teasing... but that being said...

D.W. Verts

I could care less about what other people think or do. This will be MY boat, another tool to help me catch bass. I've fished out of many, many boats and most brands. Fiberglass is my choice. I'll be on BIG water sometimes- look up a video of Lake of the Ozarks in the summer time. It's disgusting. And the guiding- a 20' glass boat will just work better for me.

Love the Wayne's World. I'm not worthy.

Heck, that's back in a COVE. Behind a SWIM BEACH. In a NO-WAKE zone!

Oh, come on. That pic is on a Wednesday before the cruiser traffic gets on the lake. Show a pic of the BIG water where a 40 ft. racing boat can go airborne and T-bone the upper deck of a yacht. I especially like the video of the MLF where the bass boat hits a wave and goes squirrely. The passenger's body is out of the boat over the water and he's hanging onto the railing on the gunnel. He pulled himself back into the boat without going into the water.

do you at least get a bit of a lull until 10AM?  here, it takes the yacht club a beat or two to recover from the martini parties the night before...

D.W. Verts

Yeah, the worst is always from noon on, but the PWC's, HUNDREDS of them sometimes, will run right up in the creeks with you, and they start early so's not to be killed later on. Which happens anyway. It's a mess, and I've still caught bass right our in the middle of it. I could tell stories.

Nobody has the three boats picked, by the way.

Phoenix
Vexus
Caymas

Bonus guess: One of those fancy pontoon boats with a trolling motor on it.

D.W. Verts

Tritoons blow around in the wind too much, but good try.

I think the Charger 210 followed by the Phoenix of your choosing. In 3rd... Caymus.

Oldfart9999

So you wouldn't consider a Lund, one of the best big bad water boats made? One of the favorites on Gitchee Goomy when an unforecasted storm hit with waves cresting the light houses.  I hear what you say about Loz but the Great Lakes ain't no slouch when it comes to rough water, water that kill most if not all the boats on Loz, they beat up ocean going ships to a fare thee well.
Rodney

Rodney

No Rodney, as good as Lund (and most brands are) I'm going to do glass.

Well Mr. Bates, that's an opinionated opinion. Understandable, because Rick and his staff build a "decent" boat. Decent enough, anyway.

Okay, never mind, I'm foolin' around. Bass Cat is right at the top of my three boat list. I've been there and done that with bass boats, and the Cats have always been the pinnacle of what a boat should be for sure.

No one guessed the three, so I'll try to give away baits doing something else. Maybe. I'm too busy right now to do much, and I need to get my mind on fishing. I haven't been since Christmas and I'm having issues.

right there with you.
that being said, tomorrow I'm out on the water starting the new merc break in...

D.W. Verts

And I'm jealous. Be careful and have some fun, and catch at least one to do the break-in right.

I had a guy once tell me that he didn't have time to fish 'cuz he was breaking in a new motor. Well let me tell ya'll- stopping and letting a new engine cool down is an INTRICATE part of "breaking it in". It's the way the motor will be run for the rest of it's life, so take a fishin' pole and FISH.

By the way, I'm not sharing the three boats I've decided to look at (first). I'd say you can see the process in a YouTube video but I haven't decided for sure to do that. It's been done, over and over. We'll see.  But an interesting thing happened a while ago while I was surfin'. I found a dealer that sells ALL THREE BRANDS. Huh. That's weird. Cool, but MAN.
