coldfront

thanks Dale.  I missed that 'two heat cycle' thing.  man I HATE reading instruction manuals, but sometimes it's important.  and important enough to pay attention.
struggled a bit with figuring out jackplate, trim.  think my trim guage is not calibrated/set properly.  if I even try to run it OVER 1/4... I'm blowing out in back.  will get this settled.
no speed records yesterday.  saw a little over 49mph GPS during one of the 1-minute WOT events.   ran it anywhere from 1000 rpms up to 4500 rpms for the 10-minute periods.  back out sunday to get some more break in.  will put load in the boat.  pretty sure I need some weight up front to help this thing trim out and run better.
nothing in it but my big butt, 30 gallons of gas and 4 batteries made it a little back-end heavy.  see what happens when I move the balance point a little further 'mid-ship.
man though, when you adjust trim this boat feels like it's leaping...

know folks who'd love to put a 150 on this boat.  that might be interesting.  and introduce a little pucker factor into the experience.
