Sitting here this morning remembering the trip with Doc Irv to Vero Trophy Bass Lakes.  This coming spring I will be heading to the Orlando area to fish with FD and I hope we had the lock that Doc and I had last year.

Bud, again congrats on a successful trip for you and Doc.  I just finished re-reading your trip reports and drooling over those Bass Pictures. The way time is moving you'll be packing up for the trip down South Florida here soon  ;)

Vero Trophy Bass Lakes went out of business ( for now). The landowner went up in his lease prices and the guides couldn't afford it anymore. I'm glad we got to fish it. It was the best bass fishing that I've ever experienced. Already miss it.

I had planned on returning to Vero this year and was truly disappointed that they could not remain open for business.  I am sure that the upcoming trip with FD will also yield some great fishing and solid memories.  I agree with Flats that Vero had some of the best bass fishing you could find and it will be missed.
