Left for Miller's Ferry a little later than I would have liked but decided I'd prefer driving after the sun cracked the horizon. Blew my last Goodyear Marathon trailer tire on the way up which forced a stop in Andalusia. AL for a new spare. Dalton Tire hooked me up and I was back on the road in short order. Checked in and stayed at the American Inn in Camden. Made my way to Miller's Ferry Marina to fish the south end of the lake near the dam. I arrived to find the owners had sold and the land being cleared for some future construction. Ended up launching at Ellis Landing. Nice launch ($5 launch fee), but quite a long no wake zone getting in and out of there. Small fish was the name of the game Friday and not many of them. A hybrid striper was the big fish (maybe 4lbs) - on a spinnerbait. Saturday and Sunday launched at Roland Cooper State Park. More small fish Saturday. The best bite of the trip was Sunday fishing laydowns with a jig and texas-rigged worm in the vicinity of mouths of creeks north from Roland Cooper.

Think I heard they were building a new store. We usually launch on the other side by the old 28 bridge when we fish the dam. We fished 19, 20 and 21 and much the same story but we fished from White Oak creek north.
Retired and loving every minute of it!

Sure would be nice to have a new store and ramp, but I kind of liked the old setup  ~shade
