I've playing with this bait for awhile now and it's a great little bait. Basically I fish it like a jig, hop it, drag it or swim it the thing gets bit.
Reasonably priced, especially for Mega Bass ,and it holds up well.

What length has been working best for you?

Lou, I've been fishing the 1/2 oz . 3 inch The thing casts like a bullet and you can throw in places you may not get a jig back.
I'm also diggin' the Spark Shad on the Okashira head.

Cool, appreciate the information.

How has that hook held up? Seems so small in relation to the bait.

On the Dark sleeper ?  It's fine the the hook is in the dorsal fin which acts like a weedguard.

BassmanRudy

Yes Sir on the dark sleeper. It is a fine gauge hook compared to like a t-rig worm hook. Do you use a solid hookset or a limber rod for it?

I picked up the 10000 Fish swimbait and it has an EWG type hook in it but is also kinda fine gauge so I'm not going to set the hook hard if I get a bite.

I've not had a issue with the hook .  I use a NRX 893 or 894 which ever is handy and those are 2 pretty quick rods.
