Presque Isle 7-24 and 25

Saturday it was windy with south winds. I went to the wind blown weed edges and started to catch everything that swims in them. I caught three bass very quickly in the 14 inch range and just threw them back thinking it was going be a great day. Well it was a lot of fun but I only caught one more bass, but the pike were hitting everything, along with a big Bowfin. Some of the pike were citation size. It felt good to be catching fish.
Wind was about 18mph, water was very clear. Very cloudy.

Sunday was less windy and had to run around to find good grass as a lot of normal areas had none. The chatterbait was the bait of choice and got 8 bass 2 pike and another bowfin. All the bass came in the middle of the grass pads. Not one on an edge.
Very sunny, winds around 8mph, again normal very clear water.

I don't mind them myself. I have seen them in Erie but had never caught one there before this weekend. I have two lakes that are loaded with them and it turns into tackle busting fun in a hurry.
