2021 06 22 Chickamauga TN River

spent my time in Soddy Creek.  Working the 'lake' portion from the ramp headed shallow.  continued working on skipping technique.  out on lake at 6PM until 845PM

found a few short fish (15/16 inch class) on shore-side of docks with some deeper water.  Nearer some kind of vertical cover (posts).  wood was better.

water clarity was good.  2 feet or so.  water temperatures were 83°F.  Light breeze, very little ripple on water.  bright blue skies (front came through yesterday).  air temps were low 80s and humidity was low enough that a sweatshirt actually felt good.

weightless soft plastics, t-rigged for dock skipping.t-rigged (3/16 ounce) soft plastics for flipping/pitching.

Thanks for the report. What's the size limit? You call a 15 -16 inch a short? Do you have a slot limit there?

Tennessee limits *as I understand them* (refer to the regulations to be sure)
Largemouth:  14" minimum. 
Smallmouth:  18" minimum
Spotted bass:  no length minimum
bag limits?  5.  5 total LMB/SMB with ONLY ONE SMB allowed at 18" or overspotted bass can keep 15.

sorry, but in these waters a 15/16 inch fish is just short.  but my perceptions are a bit out of whack.  I could share a story of a time I just about tried to swing a 20" fish with my medium action spinning rod because 'it didn't look that big'...  6 lb line.

I asked mostly because a 15-16 inch bass is the middle of the slot on my favorite lake here. I can eyeball them as soon as I see them. While a quality 2-3 pound bass depending on season, they just aren't helpful in the tournament bag. Thought maybe you were in that kind of playing field.
