The bass on Raystown are getting hot, despite the cold weather and wind that hit us last last week. The water is currently around 44-45*, although the weather this week will definitely warm that up quickly.

Friday the PA Bass Nation had their first tournament of the year out of Seven Points Marina. The winning boater and co-angler came from the same boat. The boater had a 3 fish limit of 14 pounds and the co-angler had 3 fish for 10 pounds.

Saturday was the team tournament. The winning boat had a 23 pound five fish limit with only one of those fish being a green one.

To add to the mix, a buddy of mine caught a 7.47lb largemouth on Sunday  :o :o

Sweet! But I know that lake this time of the year. Five bites are hard to come by and running a jerkbait that slow is torture.

Thanks for all the information. Sucks that they lake is till in a winter temperature but very impressive that it still kicks out a 20 pound bag....

This is pretty typical for this time of year. We really don't get out of the winter temps till mid May. Erie's temp as of yesterday was 41, which is time for blade baits.

That is an insane bag for PA. Anyone been having any luck locally in Western PA?

We have a small lake near Butler with good sized fish being caught. Oneida dam.

Also hearing great things about Piney dam. Hearing catches of over 25 a day of brown bass.

I've got two fish so far this spring over 4.5 pounds. As well as a couple 2's and 3's.

Spinnerbaits and football jigs have been my producers.
