Merc pro xs beeps after motor/ignition is turned off

I have a merc pro xs . Just started this beep after the motor/ ignition is turned off. One beep every 10 seconds or so. Does not beep when engine is running. Any suggestions?

check your owners manual.  could be a water sensor on a filter.

Thanks. The beep only happens when the ignition is off and the motor is not running. Nothing in the manual about an ignition off beep. Wondering if it's in the wiring off the panel?
