Charging two batteries that are in parallel

Added a battery to the bank and installed a two bank charging system.
Each bank charges at 4 amps.  I can hook one bank to one battery and charge
both batteries at 4 amps or would it hurt the charger to hook the other bank to the other battery?
I'm thinking it will be fine but not sure if the charger would not like another charge coming
in at the  same time.

If I understand what you are asking then hook up both batteries, I am sure that is how your charger is designed.  Each bank charges seperately so no problems at all.

if I get what your saying, if the two batteries have jumpers wires and are in line then the charger will charge both at one time. From what I have been told the last battery in the line will drain first so when charging it will changer will do it first.

Yes, each bank charges separately but you are charging a single system in essence.  The two batteries in a series will always be the same voltage and flow together.  I know the batteries wont' care, just not sure about the charger as two separate systems are charging ONE single system. Once those batteries are connected in series, for all intensive purpose, they are one system.  It would be like hooking two charging systems to one battery. Maybe I am over thinking this.

Bud, I stand corrected, my batteries are connected in parallel not a series and still a 12 volt system.
Drinking and posting can sometimes have unwanted consequences.  Had a brain fart in my original post, I had to re-read what I wrote.  Regardless, I imagine the system will charge fine either way.

The charger should be hooked up as the picture shows, the instructions should tell you how to hook up the charger.

I agree with that setup but that is not how my batteries are connected.  They're in parallel.
Could you hook two 4 amp chargers to one battery?  That is essentially what I would be doing.

I agree with that setup but that is not how my batteries are connected.  They're in parallel.
Could you hook two 4 amp chargers to one battery?  That is essentially what I would be doing.

Both batteries will charge separately which is the best way for them to. I would always follow the instructions from the manufacturer, their engineers know what they're doing.
