AT&T has been raping me since the days of bag phones. I sat back the other day and tried to figure out how long I've been with AT&T because IMO longevity should be worth something but I honestly feel like they have me bent over a barrel. I've stuck with them because when I do have an issue they fix it because I'm a "valued long standing customer"... you bet I am. At nearly 200 a month for 30 years, I'm paying someone's retirement plan...

Anyway, I was talking to a buddy the other day and he said that if you need to rely on Satellite for television, your dumb if you don't switch companies every two years to take advantage of the specials.

I honestly believe that longevity with a company is no longer a benefit and I'm going to tell AT&T to match they competitors or kiss my ass.

What companies are you all using and what do you think about their coverage? I'm looking hard at Suddenlink (I use their internet and cable service), they offer unlimited, no restrictions, for $30 a month. I own our phones so no by out issues.

Sprint?
T-Mobile?

All you non NW Louisiana guys that read this, thank you, and I'd love your input on customer service from these other companies. I know you can't speak to coverages in my area.

I have had Sprint since I PCS'd back from Korea in 2001 and my prices have gone up very little in the last 19 years. I currently have two phones on my plan with unlimited data, texts and phone with absolutely no roaming charges in the US. I pay right around $100 for my plan but I also get free Hulu included for free with my plan. There used to be some places once you got outside of Bossier that service was spotty but since T-Mobile bought out Sprint this year I would expect some of those areas are no longer like that.

I have Cricket. No contract. 2 lines unlimited everything for $80 a month. They use at&t towers so service is great.

I have had ATT for many years too.  My bill is 437. this month, BUT I have five phones on it and four of them are on payments, so that's a big part of the bill.  My two sons and one grandson are on it, along with my wife and me.  Fortunately they all pay their parts.
Service is unlimited everything, and includes road service insurance and phone insurance, and I use mine as a Hotspot when I'm working, so I can connect my laptop to the internet.
I'll be following this and doing a little research.  Always open for a better deal.

Don you point out a couple things, insurance, hotspot, and free HBO come with AT&T so I need to make sure I'm comparing apples to apples.

I can't get the HBO thing to work so it's really not a valid concern.
