So I was going to use quick disconnects and keep the charger off the boat when not in use. But... decided to mount it in the passenger side back compartment as I really don't use it for much and the charger will fit(minn kota 315D). I did have to drill thru the flotation foam and the sidewall and I'll use bolts to mount the charger to the plastic bin. I'll keep the lid open of course while charging to prevent heat buildup. Will also smooth my metal edges down and possibly put some rtv sealant to prevent the wires from rubbing. More pics to come but got this much done tonight.  Sorry they are dark. Might take them all again tomorrow. The battery pic is "before the install" as I had to take them out to access the backside.

Much better to have it installed, especially with the traveling you do with the bass club. Now you can scratch it off the list of things to take, still need an extension cord.

I'm having trouble visualizing what you did/doing. Can you post a photo with the compartments open and standing over them.

Finished it and she works!! Charging currently and doesn't feel hot at all. The red stuff is anti corrosive spray. Used a lot of zip ties too lol.

I installed mine under the center seat where the original two bank charger was.  Didn't have any problem running the wires through the bilge to the batteries.  I use the compartment behind the passenger seat as a cooler for drinks.

Is that where they mount the new chargers now? Seemed like a good spot. My original one was way back in the bilge area screwed to the wall.
