We just recently bought this portable winch to assist us in pulling the BassHunter, from those hard to  reach places we launch from in the Everglades. The winch comes with a 30 ft cable, and gator clips, which I clamp to my TM battery for electricity.

We tested the winch out at my house, and the winch did its job. Its little slow for my taste, but hey.... after a full day of fishing with our South FL heat and humidity. Last thing one wants to do is lug a 150lb boat out of a steep bank, then up a levy, and  finally load it back on the truck. Let's see how it works out.

Stay tuned. ;)

I've seen those before and wondered how well the worked.

Great idea, it should improve the outing for you and Simon after a long day!  Good luck, and let us know how it goes next time out there! ~c~ ~c~ ~c~

Looks like you are a little smarter than me. I tried to kill myself each time launching and retrieving that little boat!
